Healthcare Computing Limited (HC) is pleased to announce that it has won a tender to provide a GP IT Support and Development Service for NHS Dorset CCG GP Practices for the next 3 to 5 years. After a lengthy tender process, HC was chosen by NHS Dorset CCG to continue with its GP IT support, after years of successful provision in the East of Dorset. HC is a leading provider of IT support solutions to primary care. The company works with CSUs, CCGs and practices to provide IT infrastructure support solutions to over 600 practices, helping customers to reduce costs, improve security of their data and work more efficiently.
Since the contract was signed in December, HC has been working with the team at NHS Dorset CCG to plan and prepare for the start of the new improved IT support service on 2nd February 2015.
Alan Betts, Deputy Director of Performance and Informatics at NHS Dorset CCG says: ‘When we went through the process of selecting a provider for these services we wanted someone with a proven track record in supporting primary care IT with whom we could establish a real partnership to support practices across the county. We are confident that Healthcare Computing are able to provide this and look forward to working closely with them over the coming years‘.
Neil Payne, Managing Director of Healthcare Computing says: ‘This is a fantastic result for HC. NHS Dorset CCG has fed back that our tender response was very strong demonstrating our reputation for delivering the best value service for the budget available for GP IT.
We believe that this win is due to our great team of staff, dedicated to providing excellent customer service that is focused on the local practices’ needs, whilst providing innovative services to achieve economies of scale and excellent value for money.’
