Simon and Richard have just fitted fourteen PCs and two laptops at this practice.
I feel compelled to write and express our gratitude for the professionalism and hard work they have displayed, which not only reduced disruption to a minimum but also led to a completely successful roll out of the equipment.
While your engineers are here they are accepted as part of our team and they are always willing to advise or help with minor problems, whilst achieving their own tasks. This added value is so important to us, given the speed of change and impact that technology has had on the NHS.
I know that my IT Manager has, in the past, thanked you for work carried out by you and your teams but it is important to us that you know in what esteem we hold the services you provide.

The partners were pleased that the computers were being upgraded but worried about the potential disruption it may cause. In the event, there was no disruption at all and everyone was most complimentary about the whole way that the project was handled.

In January 2010 Healthcare Computing began another IT Estate Refresh Project.
The purpose of the project is to upgrade the GP Practice estate and establish an infrastructure that will support CfH applications and future NHS deployments as part of the ongoing NPfIT (National program for IT). In this year’s rollout we will locate and replace 400 of the lowest spec PCs, 860 15” TFT monitors and upgrade all remaining PCs to 1GB of RAM; all replaced equipment will then be collected and securely disposed of.
The project is due to complete by the end of April 2010.
